/E-Wire/-- NAEM's Crisis Management Workshop,  March 21-22, in Washington, D.C. "Since Sept. 11, we no longer ask ourselves whether a crisis will occur, but rather when the crisis will take place and the form it will take. Managers must think about the unthinkable to protect their staffs and organizations. The better an organization can anticipate areas of vulnerability, the better it can prepare to manage them. Every organization has the need for a crisis management strategy. However, many of the recent crises have left organizations overtaken by events and unable to identify risk. At this workshop leading organizations will discuss a range of strategies and tactics that are essential for safeguarding against the consequences of a crisis. While strategic planning alone will not prevent a crisis, case studies will show you that rigorous risk assessment, crisis planning, and employee education and coordination are essential for developing a culture within your organization that promotes effective crisis management."
