The test of a first-fate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function

META-KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT(MKM)
Definitions:
MKM - management of everything which is common for every knowledge, it is knowledge about knowledge, especially refers to theories building and  to operations on knowledge.
Remark: ... but it is not referred to information about knowledge
Management - goal-oriented activity which acts not directly in the goal domain but on subordinated autonomous entities with roles of informers and executors (UMP).

Shared Understanding
... Edwin Hutchins [1991] studied how the social organization of distributed cognition affects the ... Sharing Cognition Through Collective Comprehension Activity. ...

Abstract
This paper discusses shared understanding, a phenomenon involving both people and artifacts. The research on shared understanding is found under
various names including: common ground, socially shared cognition, and distributed cognition. This paper will examine the meaning of shared
understanding, review relevant research from the computer, cognitive, and social sciences, and suggest some research directions within the computer
supported cooperative work area. Understanding in common and distributed understanding are prominently represented. Conversational approaches
and the distributed cognition approach, (involving representations and trajectories of knowledge within people and artifacts) are emphasized. Possible situations for analysis, questions to address, and methodologies of choice are discussed.

Towards a Model of the Dynamics of Normative Multi-Agent Systems - Lopez, Luck (2002)
Abstract: For agents, one of the advantages of being in a society is the satisfaction of those goals whose success depends on the abilities of other agents. In turn, societies are controlled by norms and, consequently, agents must be able first to model the society in which they exist, and then to identify the different relationships, due to norms, in which they might be involved in order to act appropriately.

In Thought and Practice - The Journal of KMPro is Released.
Culminating a year of work, The Knowledge and Innovation Management Professional Society is rolling out Vol. I/No. 1 of its journal just in time for the ball to drop on Times Square.
http://www.kmpro.org/journal
In mid-2002, the two primary societies in knowledge management (KIMPS and KMPro) merged to produce a stronger, broader, and more diverse organization.  The separate society journals under the respective leadership of Dr. Moonja Kim and Dr. Alexis Lewis also joined forces, resulting in the aptly-titled In Thought and Practice, an e-publication uniting the intellectual contributions of academe with the implementation and ROI experience of professional practitioners in industry and government.  This diversity is apparent in the varied articles of Vol. I/No. 1, which include interviews, a book review, an implementation success story, a concept paper, and practical professional tips.
- "Industry Focus:"  Industry-specific discussions of KM issues by authors with significant experience in the featured industry.
- "Practically Speaking:" Columns addressing real-world aspects of planning and implementation (such as "demystifications" of technical issues, lessons learned, etc.).
- "Book Review:"  Summary of the key points of both new and classic books relating to KM.
- Substantive papers of a scholarly, theoretical, or research orientation, within the prescribed length guidelines.
In Thought and Practice is a peer-reviewed bi-annual publication.
